John invites believers to be honest about sin rather than pretend it is absent. God can be trusted to forgive us through Jesus. Confession can begin with an ordinary sentence: telling Him what you did, without excuses, and asking for help to leave it behind.
God, I want to tell You the truth about my actions. Please forgive me where I have done wrong. Help me stop making excuses and begin changing the way I live.
Prayer makes room to be still with God. He meets us with mercy, strengthens faith, and helps us face what lies ahead with Him.
